What: We are so grateful and fortunate to have been in business for 10 years. What a ride and dream that has come true! We could not be who we are without our incredible group of dedicated Therapists and Business Manager. As the Founder, I continue to be inspired by everyone in the group - I have learned so much from everyone. We look forward to growing and serving others!

What: Concentric Counseling & Consulting is offering crisis, short-term virtual video counseling and telehealth mental health services to Essential Workers during these challenging times due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are all incredibly grateful for all that you do and we want to give back! You can use your health insurance for teletherapy. Also, we are offering sliding fee and pro bono to a limited number of Essential Workers who have endured financial hardship due to the impact of COVID.

What: Concentric Counseling & Consulting is excited to announce our expansion to the North / Northwest side of Chicago! We are pleased to expand to the Sauganash neighborhood where we will be serving children, adolescents, adults and families in Sauganash and the surrounding city neighborhoods (Edgebrook, Forest Glen, Wildwood, Edison Park, Peterson Park, North Park, Lincoln Square, and Andersonville) and nearby suburbs (Lincolnwood, Skokie, Evanston, and The North Shore).

Concentric was invited to On The Table Review at The Chicago Community Trust. It was a true honor to be there with other organizations to provide feedback and brainstorm ideas for future discussions in the State of Illinois.

What: We are excited to announce that providing counseling services to students at Sauganash School has gone well, that we are expanding donated services to include direct psycho-education and support services to teachers who may benefit from learning how social, emotional, and behavioral needs of children impact academics and well-being in their classrooms.

What: We know not every child or family needs therapy to address their concerns, so we are now offering an additional service to help those families out. We are offering short-term solutions with 20-, 40- and 60-minute sessions over the phone, video online, or in person to address a variety of concerns related to childhood and adolescents. What: Due to the perpetual CPS budget cuts (including social work and psychological services), we wanted to assist in some way. What: Concentric's 3rd Annual Outing. Our group interacted with and watched the Therapy Players, a group of psychotherapists who perform improv, at Prop Thtr. Truth be told, none of us expected to directly interact with the troupe — as yes, we learned some of us have social and stage anxiety. Some of us faced our anxieties and went along while others provided moral support! Afterwards we had a lovely dinner in the area.

What: Concentric's 2nd Annual Outing. There are many things that set us apart from our group practices. One of them is we get together to engage in an activity that is related to our field and have a nice dinner afterwards for discussion and connection. This year we saw You Got Older at Steppenwolf Theater followed by dinner in the area. The story is about a woman Mae, whose life is filled with awkwardness, grief and loss, and fantasy which takes her on paths filled with twists and turns.

What: Jennifer Larson, LCPC, NCC of Concentric attended NPN's Working Moms Happy Hour featuring Heidi Stevens, Chicago Tribune's Balancing Act Columnist. Some topics included how to balance wearing many hats required of working moms, how to advocate and voice your needs to your spouse and work as a team, and how to care less about things that carry little value. Great event!

What: Concentric's 1st Annual Outing. Our group celebrated the New Year with some good laughs watching the Therapy Players, a group of mental health professionals who regularly perform improv in the Chicago area, perform sketch at The Chicago Sketch Comedy Fest. Afterwards we had a lovely dinner in the area. We had such a good time -- A reminder to all that "Laughter is really good medicine."

There will be a variety of vendors at this event, including artists and photographers, martial arts studios, Working Bikes and Chicago Bike Ambassadors.
